Hey Lovers, 

Last week, I was at work, minding my business when I saw a blog post about Lil Wayne dropping a new mixtape. I was totally confused. Last I had heard Lil Wayne and Baby were in the midst of a breakup. If you haven’t heard it yet, you can listen to it here here.

When I first started listening to Lil Wayne he only had 1 child; think about that.  I, like many know that Lil Wayne’s best work is on mixtapes. That made me want to listen. It seems like just last week we were saying #ByePhylicia. Wait. . .that was last week. Anyway, last week I got a text that said 2 Chainz was on Nancy Grace. I looked at my phone. Then looked again and again. I kept thinking to myself “2 Chainz on Nancy Grace, that shouldn’t be a thing.” I later found out that 2 Chainz appeared on Nancy Grace to “debate” her about the legalization of marijuana. If you haven’t heard, Denver legalized marijuana. You must be over 21, you cannot drive under the influence or smoke in public. If you haven’t seen the interview check Rolling Stone.

Whenever I hear that rappers are going to appear on “news” shows I get nervous; very nervous. I have flashbacks to Cam’ron on Bill O’Reily. The only thing funnier than Nancy Grace attempting to recite 2 Chainz lyrics was the way 2 Chainz gave Ms. Grace a college educated read.  Continue reading →

Hey Lovers, 

I’ve been trying to stay away from this whole Bill Cosby rape thing. I wish Ms. Phylicia would’ve done the same thing because last week she made the whole #ByePhylicia thing relevant; again. If you haven’t heard about what happened check out the story here. Basically, Ms. Phylicia was quoted as saying  something to the effect of forget the women, someone is trying to destroy the Cosby legacy. Later she told NBC that the “forget these women” part was a misquote.

What I need to know is why did she even comment on this? Were you sitting at home like, I wonder what Phylicia Rashad has to say about Bill Cosby’s rape allegations? I know I wasn’t.  Continue reading →

Mob Wives Season 5

Hey Lovers, 

Last month Mob Wives returned to VH1. One of my good girlfriends asked me to give a few thoughts on it and as you know, I rarely (read probably never) turn down requests for my opinion. Let me begin by saying that I think this may be my last season with Mob Wives. The only thing worse than an old woman is an old desperate woman. Everyone on this show is hanging on for dear life. As you know, I was handling some professional stuff Monday night so I couldn’t watch Love & Hip Hop with you live. I missed you. Did you miss me? 

I used to like Yung Berg then his credit card got denied and he dragged Masika by her hair today, according to TMZ. I don’t care about Teairra’s song. Be honest, you don’t either.

I really couldn’t take Miss Diddy’s Crayola colored lipstick and Sincere’s rapey swag. 

I tried to care about Lil Fizz and Amanda but. . . I just don’t. Lil Fizz should be looking for a nanny but instead he’s trying to cuff Amanda.  If Amanda were smart, she would walk now. The other dude is taking her to the Capital Grille and Fizz got her going to toddler tee ball and ducking his trifling ass Baby Mama. Which would you choose?
