Hey Lovers!
I hope 2015 is treating you well. I’m not one for New Years Resolutions. Why wait until Jan. 1? In my field of work, the holidays are actually the most busy because we aren’t allowed to carry certain tasks into the new year. I’ve been working like a Hebrew slave since before Thanksgiving which is why I haven’t had time to give you what you like. That said, now that things are stabilizing, there are things that I want to do. Below are just a few.
- Lose 3lbs. Who wants to lose 3lbs? It sounds weird, I know. In 2013 I joined Weight Watchers because BBW’s really aren’t the wave. I don’t care what Drake said. I surpassed my goal weight but being 158lbs just seems weird. We’ll discuss my time on Weight Watchers later.
- The 52 Week Money Challenge. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. Basically, you save increasing amounts each week and by the end of the year you will have saved an extra $1,378. I don’t have a ton of discipline and I don’t like being told what to do so I found a remix; kinda. Check it out Here. I posted the printable template on my wall and I can cross off each amount as I save it and skip around if necessary.
- Get my domains together. I was reading this post on Luvvie’s tech blog and it made me want to get my name; online. If your name is John Smith, you’re probably out of luck but it still may be worth a try. You can also get your name on an alternate extension such as .nyc or me.
- Solve my Lil Wayne Problem. For those of you who haven’t heard last month Weezy F Baby said he wants to leave Baby and Cash Money because he’s feeling creatively stifled. I’ve been feeling the same way except I actually need my job so I can’t drag them on Twitter. I plan to visit some NYC sites that I’ve either never been to or haven’t been to in years. I’ve also got a reading list that longer Super Head’s body count. I’ll keep you posted.
Did you make a New Year’s Resolution? Is there something left on your To Do List from 2014? Comment below and let me know!
I’ve done the 52 Week Challenge for the past two years and I LOVED IT. Last year I double it but 1/2 went to savings and the other 1/2 went to debt. I have heard of people doing it reverse ($52 the first week and $1 the last) but I do like this lady’s idea of picking how much you put in each week. Maybe I’ll try that…
I’m also trying to lose about as many pounds as I set aside in this financial challenge.
And I’m nursing my hair back to health (posted about it on my blog today). 2014 was rough on my hair and I need to bring it back to health!!!
I like the money challenge! I like starting it in reverse… I may do it too thanks for the reminder 🙂
I am going to order this book today:

I pray to be kinder to myself and invest in me (I put everyone else’s needs first)…
