MAC Lipstick in Brave Red
Hey Lovers,
As you may know, at the end of April I decided to take on the #NoBareLips30 challenge started by Keiko Kaveri. If you missed the details, check them out here.
If you remember my initial post, I was nervous about the challenge because of the way my lips are set up I thought bold colors during the day would look obscene on me. Before the challenge I treated lipstick like free cell phone minutes back in the day; only nights and weekends.
I am pleased to report that I wore lipstick 25 out of the 30 days!
Here are my top 5 faves (in no particular order)

Who doesn’t love Girl About Town? Girl About Town was my first MAC lipstick.
Wet & Wild lipstick, Sugar Plum Fairy with MAC’s Vino Lipliner
Is it weird that I want to kiss myself when I look at this picture?
Milani Lipstick, Uptown Mauve
I had never considered this lipstick for daytime but it totally worked.
Pantone & Sephora Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid
Eyes poppin’ lips bussin’ (Nene Leakes’s voice)
Here are my not so favorite.
Heroine, MAC
Heroine, looked okay in the beginning but I hated the way it looked after it oxidized.
MAC’s Pink Nouveau & Rebel lipgloss by Marvelous Moxie
Pink Nouveau wasn’t a bad look but keeping it cute through the day was way more work than I was into.
#NoBareLips30 was a great way to get me out of my comfort zone and I definitely learned a lot. I also want to give a special shout out to my old friend Tracy and my former colleague Nicole for taking on the challenge with me.
