I like humor/message tees just as much as anyone else but things are getting a bit out of control. I propose a New Rule: If you have a shirt with a line from a popular song, when the song is no longer popular, you have to stop wearing that shirt. For example, no one, NO ONE, should still be wearing those “Hi Hater” shirts; not that I’m suggesting they were ever okay. Haters are the last thing anyone who wore those shirts had.
I saw a t-shirt the other day that said “Color Me Gangsta.” I thought to myself, “wearing that shirt, you’ve colored yourself into a loser.” Also, I would love it if someone could enlighten me about why shirts with skanky sayings are being worn. I’ve never understood those “my boyfriend is out of town,” “50% single” or “ask your boyfriend about me” shirts. What’s next? Are people going to start wearing shirts that say “Homewrecker” or “I’ll smash your wife?”
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the world! 🙂
Hi Hater shirt spoting: This was indeed my thought when I spotted a dude in a Hi Hater shirt 2 weeks ago…
